Our team at Collingwood Fuels wants to help you keep the essential systems in your building up and running, and this includes the air conditioning. We can not only supply fuel to keep your air conditioning operational, but we can also provide maintenance and repair services when necessary. In this article, we’ll go over a few signs to look for in order to determine if you need air conditioning repair.
- Warm Air or Poor Airflow – Naturally, the most obvious sign you need air conditioning repair is a lack of effective cooling from your system. If your air conditioning system stops providing cool air, you should give us a call to get our technicians on the job as soon as possible. Put your hand near the air vents—if the air coming from the vent feels warm, or the airflow is weak, then we recommend scheduling repairs.
- Strange Noises or Smells – When your air conditioning is working properly, you should only hear a soft hum as it runs, and you should only smell clean air–in other words, the air shouldn’t smell like anything. If you notice grinding, squealing, or other unusual sounds coming from your unit when it’s on, then you need air conditioning repair. Similarly, if you start to smell musty or rotten odors coming from your vents, you should give us a call.
- Frequent Cycling – A third sign you need air conditioning repair is your unit constantly turning on and off. When your air conditioning works properly, it should run for about 15 to 20 minutes, then turn off again for about the same length of time. If cycles are happening more frequently than this, give us a call to have our technicians take a look.
